Job summary

Innodata Inc. seeks a Research Data Scientist – GenAI/LLM to advance AI/ML initiatives in our AI/LLM Delivery Unit. The role blends rigorous research with hands‑on modeling, experiment design, and data evaluation to translate findings into practical AI solutions.

You will build evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and datasets, and collaborate with researchers, engineers, and clients to push GenAI capabilities forward while ensuring reliability and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 4–7 years of hands‑on research in AI/ML, NLP, Generative AI, LLMs, or related areas.
• Strong research track record via publications, patents, or significant AI/ML projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative GenAI/LLM research.
• Design experiments and evaluation methodologies for AI models.
• Develop research pipelines and prototypes using Python and ML frameworks.
• Evaluate models for accuracy, bias, hallucination, and robustness.
• Collaborate with researchers, data scientists, and delivery teams.
• Contribute to research outputs and client-facing technical discussions.
