Job summary

Allstate Insurance Co. is seeking a Senior AI Cloud Platform Engineer to own, develop, and operate GenAI cloud platforms, enabling developers to build, deploy, and manage AI applications across the enterprise.

You will work in a paired-programming culture, maintain Terraform-based infrastructure, and drive continuous delivery pipelines while integrating Azure, AWS, and Google Vertex AI services to scale platforms and deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering.
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, Agentic and AI open-source ecosystem.
• Experience with Google Vertex AI.
• Experience with Azure AI services.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock.
• Knowledge of consuming large language model (LLM) and Foundational model APIs.
• Experience in Terraform development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an anchor to enable Digital product team to GenAI analytics Platform, delivering product/solution briefings and demos.
• Write and build continuous delivery pipelines to automate platform component lifecycles.
• Build, manage and operate the infrastructure as a service layer for hosted and cloud-based platforms.
• Lead post-mortem activities to improve platform operations and policies.
• Identify, troubleshoot availability and performance issues across deployment layers.
• Evaluate performance trends and plan capacity and scalability.
• Integrate components and develop new services with a focus on open source to ease developer interaction.
• Automate platform infrastructure and environments with infrastructure as code.
• Maintain and enhance Terraform codebase.
