Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AI Engineer 5 for Gen AI Platform Services - Agentic AI in Cambridge, MA. You will design, train, and deploy AI systems, including foundation models, LLM inference, agents, and vector search, while optimizing performance and cost. You’ll work with a cross-functional team to deliver scalable AI products for customers and partners.

You will mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions, and help shape the long-term AI platform strategy across Capital One.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master's with required years of AI/ML experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Python/Go/Scala/CUDA/Java.
• Strong engineering and math foundation with AI/ML expertise.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, PMs to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies in production.
• Advance foundation model optimization for performance and cost.
• Contribute to long-term AI systems roadmap and governance.
