Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance Generative AI projects, building AI assistants, processing pipelines, and tooling. You will contribute to cutting-edge AI solutions within Cat Digital, collaborating with data scientists and cross-functional teams.

Expect hands-on development with Python/Go, AWS deployment, and modern Gen AI architectures. You will help design scalable systems, work on edge deployments, and participate in end-to-end ML pipelines across a global

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of design and development with Python and/or GoLang; frontend integration is a plus.
• Experience with Gen AI architectures (multi-agent, long-term memory, context management).
• Excellent communication for cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Python libraries: FastAPI, LangGraph, LangChain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy Gen AI solutions using Python/Go and OOP.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Deploy solutions on AWS using CloudFormation.
• Work with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Crew.ai.
• Apply LLMs and prompt engineering concepts.
• Develop FastAPI services on AWS.
• Create services for edge devices deployments.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize analytics pipelines.
• Assist ML/AI pipelines with Apache Airflow.
