Caterpillar Inc. Cat Digital is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Engineering team to build Python data pipelines that power business applications. You'll work with global partners to enable analytics and AI initiatives across the Caterpillar portfolio.

You will design, test, and deploy CI/CD pipelines, interpret design requirements, and ensure code quality. Experience with AWS (Lambda, Kinesis, S3), Git, and GenAI tools is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing software in Python.
• Solid understanding of OOP and software design principles.
• Strong knowledge of Git and collaboration in medium to large teams.
• Hands‑on with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with AWS components (Lambda, Kinesis, S3, IAM).

Responsibilities

• Develop Python data pipelines that build business data objects for applications.
• Handle complex programming, project management, and development tasks.
• Build and deploy CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement source-to-target mapping as pipeline code.
• Conduct unit and integration testing; maintain quality standards.
