Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff to architect and build the applied AI layer for autonomous networking. This role will own Gen AI systems, spanning LLMs, agentic frameworks, and cloud integration across three major providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy Gen AI solutions on Verizon's Gen AI platform for network/product use cases.
• Partner with network/product teams to identify high-value AI use cases and scale them.
• Evaluate/integrate LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, agentic AI into prod systems.
• Architect/deploy AI workloads across AWS, Azure, GCP for performance and cost.
• Collaborate across engineering, data science, and product teams to streamline dev lifecycle.
• Establish best practices for evaluation, responsible AI, security and governance.
• Mentor engineers and lead Gen AI adoption across the org.
