Job summary

V Group Inc. in Albany, NY seeks an Expert Cloud Engineer to support the UISIm project for the NYS Department of Labor. The consultant will design, deploy, and optimize cloud-based systems in Google Cloud, building cloud-native apps with Cloud Build/Cloud Deploy and managing the GCP foundation platform.

The role requires Terraform IaC skills, experience with CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring state staff in cloud technologies, with a 30-month duration and in-person interview in Albany.

Qualifications

• 84 months of experience designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining cloud-based systems in GCP.
• 84 months of experience automating, configuring, and administering GCP cloud infrastructure.
• 36 months of experience using CI/CD pipeline technologies.
• 36 months of experience using GitHub repositories.
• 24 months of experience using Prisma Cloud, Tenable, OS patching/upgrading.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based systems in GCP.
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Cloud Build and Cloud Deploy.
• Build and manage the GCP foundation platform.
• Engineer solutions using Terraform Infrastructure as Code.
• Integrate, configure, deploy and manage cloud services.
• Configure VM and Cloud SQL backups and restores.
• Build and support CI/CD and continuous testing activities.
• Monitor cloud systems and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs.
• Mentor State staff in cloud technologies.
