Job summary

State of NY seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Albany for a 30-month engagement. You will design, deploy, and operate cloud-based systems on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on security, performance, cost management, and reliability.

Candidates should have 14+ years of experience with GCP, Terraform IaC, GKE, Linux/Windows admin, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and security tooling such as Prisma Cloud and Tenable. In-person interview preferred.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based systems on GCP.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation using Python/PowerShell.
• Experience with GKE cluster, pod, and service administration; Linux and Windows server administration.
• Hands-on knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC/XPN, Cloud SQL, Redis, Secret Manager, CDN, load balancing, Cloud Armor, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting, and Pub/Sub.
• CI/CD pipeline technologies and GitHub repository usage.
• Familiarity with Prisma Cloud and Tenable for security and patch management.

Requested Qualifications

• 84 months of experience designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining cloud-based systems in GCP in accordance with security, performance, availability, and cost-management requirements, including cloud-native application deployment, resource optimization, system monitoring, log analysis, incident diagnosis and troubleshooting, and use of GCP Cloud Build and Cloud Deploy.
• 84 months of experience implementing, automating, and administering GCP cloud infrastructure, including Infrastructure as Code using Terraform; automation using Python or PowerShell; GKE cluster, pod, and service administration; Linux and Windows server administration; and configuration and administration of GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC/XPN, Cloud SQL, Redis, Secret Manager, CDN, load balancing, Cloud Armor, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting, and Pub/Sub.
• 36 Months of experience using CI/CD pipeline technologies
• 36 Months of experience using GitHub repository
• 24 Months of experience using Prisma Cloud, Tenable, OS Patching/upgrading
