Job summary

Synechron is seeking a seasoned GCP Cloud Architect in Charlotte, NC to design and implement scalable cloud solutions using Google Cloud services. You will collaborate with diverse teams, lead architecture reviews, and drive best practices across deployments, security, and operational excellence.

A strong DevOps mindset and experience with Terraform, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes are essential, as is a 10+ year track record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and solution design, with a focus on Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of Google Cloud services and modern architecture best-practice (e.g. event-based, serverless).
• Experience with Landing Zone services and integrations, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proficient in scripting and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Python).
• Familiarity with ITSM, Networking, IAM, and DevOps practices.
• Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect and Data Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, secure cloud solutions using Google Cloud services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide guidance.
• Lead architectural reviews and direct development teams on cloud standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and deployment plans.
