Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing seeks a Senior Applications Chemist to be the technical authority for GC and GC/MS applications, leading complex investigations and guiding method development across projects.

The role requires BS or MS in Chemistry, extensive GC/MS experience (including GC/MS/MS), and US work authorization. English proficiency and mentoring skills are essential for success in a collaborative lab environment in California.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemistry or related discipline.
• Extensive GC/MS experience including GC/MS/MS.
• Leadership in method development and technical problem solving.
• Experience with air-phase analysis and EPA Toxic Organic Compendium methods preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical authority for GC and GC/MS instrumentation and applications.
• Lead investigations of complex analytical issues affecting data quality or turnaround time.
• Support method development, modification, and validation projects for clients and regulatory changes.
• Provide advanced training and mentorship to lab teams.
