Job summary

Hydrogen Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer for gas turbine power generation in Dallas, TX. You will provide technical leadership across development, design, procurement, construction and commissioning, acting as the technical authority for turbine facilities.

The role requires extensive gas turbine experience, strong knowledge of plant systems, and a track record with EPC projects and owner/operator environments. Relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for mechanical systems in gas turbine facilities.
• Provide owner-side engineering oversight during development, procurement, EPC, commissioning and operation.
• Define, design and integrate gas turbines and auxiliaries.
• Oversee mechanical equipment packages and balance-of-plant interfaces.
• Review PFDs, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, specifications and thermal docs.
• Perform heat and mass balance, thermal performance evaluations, water/heat balance calculations.
• Support selection and studies for simple-cycle and combined-cycle options.
• Develop specs and performance guarantees for major equipment procurement and EPC contracting.
• Lead evaluations of OEM/EPC proposals and support negotiations.
• Manage interfaces with manufacturers, EPCs, consultants and stakeholders.
• Evaluate technologies to improve plant output, efficiency, reliability, emissions.
• Support emissions control strategies and environmental compliance.
• Participate in HAZOP/HAZID and risk reviews.
• Review design packages, installation procedures and commissioning plans.
• Participate in factory/site acceptance tests and performance testing.
• Provide ongoing engineering support during construction, start-up and operation.
