Job summary

Hydrogen Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer for gas turbine power generation in Dallas, TX. You will provide owner-side technical leadership across development, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of GT projects.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in power generation, direct gas turbine experience, and strong knowledge of turbine packages and balance-of-plant interfaces. Relocation assistance and a potential sign-on are offered for this permanent role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in power generation engineering (or 7+ years highly relevant).
• Direct gas turbine power generation experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of gas turbine packages, auxiliaries and balance-of-plant interfaces.
• Experience with development, design, EPC execution and/or commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for mechanical systems in gas turbine power generation facilities.
• Provide owner-side engineering oversight across development, procurement, EPC execution, commissioning and operation.
• Support the definition, design and integration of gas turbines and associated auxiliary systems.
• Oversee mechanical equipment packages, piping layouts and balance-of-plant interfaces.
• Review and validate engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, data sheets, specifications and thermal documentation.
• Perform and review heat and mass balances, thermal performance evaluations and water/heat balance calculations.
• Support technology selection and configuration studies across simple-cycle, combined-cycle and other power solutions.
• Develop technical requirements, specifications and performance guarantees for major equipment procurement and EPC contracts.
• Lead evaluations of OEM/EPC proposals and support negotiations.
• Manage technical interfaces with equipment manufacturers, EPC contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
• Evaluate technologies to improve plant output, efficiency, reliability, and emissions.
