Job summary

Beehive Industries, headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, is seeking a Principal Engineer, Controls Software to design, develop, tune and test gas turbine engine control system software and related sensors, actuators, and accessories. You will partner with cross‑functional leadership to deliver the engine control system.

The role requires 12+ years in engine control systems, strong Matlab/Simulink skills, experience with additive manufacturing, and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 12+ years of experience in engine control systems.
• Strong understanding of engine control software tools (Matlab).
• Experience with additive manufacturing and design for additive manufacturing.
• Clear communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and evaluate aviation engine control systems using control laws.
• Develop and test hardware for engine control systems.
• Tune control laws to achieve stability and performance metrics.
• Lead engine control software and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize the control system.
• Document technical data in line with engineering standards.
