Florida Power & Light Company seeks an experienced trader to manage and execute natural gas trading activities, optimizing upstream transport positions with key pipelines. The role develops and communicates trading strategies with guidance and may lead a team of junior traders.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in energy trading, a Bachelor's degree, and strong procurement/market analysis skills. This is a full-time on-site role within our Florida trading desk.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience: 5+ years.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Responsabilités

• Monitors market conditions and analyzes transactions to help in identifying and executing energy trades.
• Ensures transaction terms are beneficial to the organization and meet risk guidelines.
• Optimizes economics to assure minimum energy supply costs and maximizes profits for generation portfolio.
• Determines generation requirements and coordinates fuel procurement to meet obligations.
• Coaches junior traders.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
