Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Gas System Planning Engineer III to join our Hybrid role operating in multiple states’ service territory. You will provide technical support to operations, perform hydraulic modeling, and ensure regulatory compliance for natural gas facilities.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, 7+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of CFR 49 Part 192. You will collaborate across teams on projects and permitting, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in engineering or engineering technology.
• 7+ years industry experience and/or training as evaluated by management.
• PE License and Valid Driver's License.
• Proficient knowledge of natural gas pipeline operations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to operations team for new projects and existing facilities.
• Performs hydraulic modeling analysis of distribution and transmission pipeline systems.
• Assists with regulatory and compliance efforts per CFR 49 Part 192 and related regulations.
• Direct oversight and management of pipeline and distribution system design day model and all requirements.
• Supports with project identification and facilities needed for business development or customer requests.
• Assist with permitting (railroad, DOT) and with material/equipment specification approvals.
