Job summary

Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) seeks a multi-skilled analyst to manage Purchased Gas Costs and the financial well-being of the company. This role emphasizes independent work, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to adapt to storm-related coverage when needed.

You will process supplier invoices for gas purchases, prepare customer invoices, schedule gas quantities, monitor nominations and imbalance positions, and support month-end close, budgeting and reporting activities to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 4-7 years of relevant experience; or 6-9 years in lieu of a Bachelor's.
• Ability to work independently or on a team with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of gas tariffs and pipeline/storage operations.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile incoming supplier invoices for natural gas purchases, transportation, storage, and related services.
• Prepare, issue, and track customer invoices for natural gas sales and other services; resolve billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external counterparties to investigate variances and support month-end close.
• Schedule and manage daily gas quantities across pipelines, storage facilities, and delivery points.
• Monitor gas flows, nominations, confirmations, and imbalance positions; resolve scheduling issues.
• Support budgeting, variance analysis, audit compliance, and reporting requirements.
