Job summary

TC Energy in Houston, TX, seeks a Manager of Gas Scheduling & Cash Optimization to lead a team responsible for scheduling, transportation management, and optimization of physical natural gas positions. You will work closely with Natural Gas Traders to maximize portfolio value and coordinate across trading, risk, accounting, and operations.

The role requires 10+ years in natural gas markets with leadership experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Endur and Excel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in natural gas trading, scheduling, transportation, marketing, or commercial operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of North American natural gas markets, transportation contracts, storage services, pipeline operations, and physical gas optimization.
• Previous leadership experience including people leadership, mentoring, or coaching responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team responsible for natural gas scheduling, transportation management, and cash optimization activities.
• Lead the optimization of physical natural gas positions, transportation capacity, and storage assets to maximize portfolio value and support trading strategies.
• Partner with Natural Gas Traders to identify and capture commercial opportunities from basis spreads, transportation constraints, and storage economics.
• Provide leadership and oversight of nominations, confirmations, imbalance management, inventory tracking, and pipeline scheduling across multiple markets.
• Monitor market conditions, pipeline maintenance, operational constraints, and system disruptions to support trading decisions and portfolio profitability.
• Ensure accurate execution, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of physical natural gas transactions and inventories.
• Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Accounting, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure proper position management and regulatory compliance.
