Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Manager, Gas Scheduling & Cash Optimization in Houston, TX. You will lead a team responsible for physical natural gas transactions, transportation, storage management, and optimization to support the trading business.

You will partner with traders to maximize portfolio value, manage risk, and drive commercial outcomes while ensuring accurate execution, reporting, and regulatory compliance across markets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in natural gas trading, scheduling, or related operations.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting trading activities.
• Experience with transportation contracts, storage services, and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team responsible for gas scheduling, transportation, and cash optimization.
• Optimize physical natural gas positions, capacity, and storage assets to maximize portfolio value.
• Collaborate with Natural Gas Traders to identify optimization opportunities and monetize basis spreads.
• Provide leadership for nominations, confirmations, imbalance management, and pipeline scheduling across markets.
• Monitor conditions and disruptions; provide actionable recommendations to support trading decisions.
