Job summary

DTE Energy is seeking a senior engineer to plan and conduct engineering activities with leadership over field teams and projects. This role requires advanced techniques and practical field experience. You will collaborate with technicians, engineers, and other personnel to drive critical solutions.

Hybrid role with in-person work at an assigned location. Emphasis on problem solving, data-driven analysis, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's Degree in Engineering preferred.
• Synergi Gas hydraulic modeling experience.
• Familiarity with DNV products CMM, FMM, and Model Builder.
• Knowledge of DTE Gas's natural gas distribution system.
• Part 192 Gas Distribution experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and directs engineering projects or field assignments with complex features.
• Performs engineering studies and analyzes data to support improvement programs.
• Interfaces with other departments, vendors, and reliability entities.
• Prepares presentations of engineering projects for management and external parties.
• Plans and manages group workflow to meet budgets and schedules.
• Mentors less experienced staff.
