Job summary

ONEOK, Inc. in Mentone, TX is seeking a Senior Plant Operator to ensure safe, reliable processing of natural gas liquids. You will operate and monitor compressors, engines, pumps, turbines and treating systems, while overseeing pressures, temperatures, and flow rates to optimize plant performance.

Responsibilities include startups/shutdowns, maintenance preparation, troubleshooting, training junior staff, and maintaining logs. The role emphasizes safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience with and thorough knowledge of compressor station, storage field, gathering field, and/or processing plant operations.
• Experience and training pertaining to gas and liquid processing fundamentals and safe handling of flammable gases and high-pressure systems.
• Ability to read drawings, diagrams, logs, gauges, and manuals; maintain safety/environmental records.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain processing plant equipment including compressors, motors, engines, pumps, turbines and treating systems.
• Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow rates; start/stop equipment; prepare for maintenance.
• Assist mechanics, train less experienced operators, and maintain maintenance records.
