Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership across planning, design, and execution of projects involving utility infrastructure. You will mentor junior engineers, lead complex studies, and ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.

Responsibilities include grid modernization strategies, budgeting, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination. The role may require extended hours during storms or emergencies and offers competitive compensation with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or PE license required.
• Experience solving complex electrical/mechanical systems and problem solving.
• Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to complex issues.
• Minimum of three related career experiences or equivalent qualifications.
• PE license, graduate degree, MBA or PM certification can reduce required experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs assignments requiring extensive engineering expertise.
• Leads analytical projects with specialized knowledge; may include field testing.
• Evaluates complex technical issues and recommends actions.
• Develops and leads projects with significant financial and operational impact.
• Provides technical training, mentorship, and peer review.
• Participates in planning, meetings, budget discussions, and performance monitoring.
• May participate in industry societies to stay current.
