Job summary

Cheniere Energy, Inc. in Houston seeks a Gas Controller/Senior Gas Controller to safely operate and monitor its gas transmission pipelines via SCADA on a 24/7 basis.

You will be the primary contact for interconnecting parties and coordinate with CTPL and LNG regasification facilities, ensuring nominated volumes are transported safely and in compliance with agreements. The role requires knowledge of gas transportation, pipeline hydraulics, and scheduling, with 3+ years for Gas Controller or 7+

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/engineering background preferred.
• 3+ years experience as Gas Controller, 7+ years for Senior Gas Controller in a similar setting.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and standby on weekends.
• Strong communication with internal/external stakeholders and emphasis on safety.
• Knowledge of natural gas transportation, pipeline hydraulics, nominations and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and control the pipeline to maintain safe operations.
• Review nominations and ensure receipt/delivery of nominated volumes.
• Communicate with interconnecting control centers to manage deliveries and issues.
• Dispatch field personnel during abnormal operating conditions.
• Maintain pipeline logbook and training; manage fatigue and hours worked.
