Job summary

Arlington County is seeking a Senior Gardener to lead the landscape maintenance crew, perform advanced horticultural duties, and support enhancements across county managed sites. You will supervise daily tasks, train staff, coordinate assignments, and ensure timely completion of work to high standards.

You will inspect landscapes, maintain records, uphold safety protocols, and collaborate with the Landscape Team Leader to align with industry best practices and county guidelines.

Qualifications

The Department of Parks and Recreation, Parks and Natural Resources Division (PNR) Landscape Maintenance Unit is seeking a Senior Gardenerto support the maintenance and enhancement of Arlington County's managed landscape areas. This position will overseeing daily landscape work by providing on-site leadership, training, and direction to the landscape maintenance crew while performing advanced horticultural and landscape duties.

The Senior Gardener will work closely with the Landscape Team Leader to inspect landscape areas,identifymaintenance needs, coordinate work assignments,maintain operational and administrativerecords, and ensure all landscape maintenance operations and activities are completed safely, efficiently, andin accordance withindustry and County standards.
