Job summary

Light & Wonder’s Reno team develops games for North America Class III and specialty markets. You’ll design and prove mathematical models, code simulations, and mentor junior mathematicians while collaborating with game designers, engineers, and testers to deliver high-quality content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics or Computer Science preferred, or related scientific field with strong math background.
• 5+ years of experience in the mathematics of gaming.
• 3+ years of programming with C++, C#, Python or similar OO language.

Responsibilities

• Design and proof math models for gaming products.
• Code, test, and debug game simulations in an existing framework.
• Mentor junior mathematicians and collaborate with game designers and engineers.
• Ensure correct implementation of math models and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
• Create computer simulations and analyses of math models and compare with expected gaming probabilities.
