Job summary

Avalanche Software, a division of Warner Bros. Games, seeks a Senior Gameplay Designer to join Hogwarts Legacy development in Salt Lake City. You will craft moment-to-moment multiplayer gameplay features, working with designers, artists and engineers to realize the game's vision.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in design, at least one shipped title, and strong Unreal Engine 5 skills with Blueprints. A passion for games and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional design experience.
• At least one shipped title in a professional design role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Fluency with Unreal Engine 5, especially the gameplay ability system and blueprints.
• Passion for games and a sincere desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement verbs for both synchronous and asynchronous multiplayer gameplay
• Collaborate with fellow designers, artists, and engineers under the direction of the Lead Gameplay Designer
• Tune and balance gameplay elements
• Participate in regular playtests, provide and receive constructive feedback
• Maintain useful documentation of your designs and ensure there is always a single source of truth
