Job summary

RTX Corporation’s Energetics and Propulsion team seeks a Principal Engineer - Fuze & Initiation Systems in the US. You will apply advanced technologies to fuze and initiation systems for missiles and space vehicles, support safety reviews, and interact with customers and subcontractors to resolve issues.

You will develop initial architectures, ensure design rigor, and prepare technical documentation while traveling to government and supplier sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 5+ years in relevant experience.
• Advanced degree may substitute for 3 years of experience.
• 5+ years in electronic circuit design or safe and arm device development.

Responsibilities

• Develop fuze and initiation system architectures and designs.
• Design, analyze, test, and evaluate fuze systems.
• Prepare SOWs and CIDS; support contract negotiations.
• Interact with DoD customers and travel to facilities.
