Job summary

Data Direct Networks is seeking a Senior/Staff Fuse Developer to join on-site in a high-performance storage environment. The role focuses on building and optimizing FUSE-based infrastructure, with close work on Linux kernel and user-space file systems, and distributed storage systems.

You will develop in C and C++, tackle performance bottlenecks, advance RDMA-based data movement, and collaborate with platform and storage teams to power AI, HPC, and data-intensive workloads.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with FUSE and Linux file systems.
• Understanding of Linux kernel file system architecture.
• Proficient in C and C++.
• Knowledge of POSIX file system principles.
• Experience with object storage and distributed infrastructure.
• Familiarity with RDMA and high-speed networking.
• Experience near kernel-space and user-space I/O paths.
• Systems mindset for debugging infrastructure performance.
• Experience building production infrastructure platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize FUSE-based infrastructure and storage components.
• Develop Linux file system integrations across kernel and user-space layers.
• Work on distributed storage and object storage infrastructures.
• Improve scalability, resiliency, and performance of storage platforms.
• Optimize networking and data movement using RDMA.
• Diagnose bottlenecks across file systems, networking, memory, and I/O.
• Develop infrastructure tooling and platform capabilities in C and C++.
• Collaborate with systems, storage, and platform engineering teams on deeply technical infrastructure challenges.
• Help shape next-generation infrastructure platforms for AI and high-performance environments.
