Job summary

DDN is seeking a highly skilled systems engineer to advance storage and data movement at scale. You will design and optimize FUSE-based infrastructure, integrate Linux file-system components across kernel and user-space, and contribute to distributed object storage platforms.

You will work close to hardware and networking stacks, using C and C++ to build robust, high-performance solutions for AI, HPC, and data-intensive workloads in production environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with FUSE
• Deep knowledge of Linux file system architecture
• Strong C and C++ programming ability
• Understanding of POSIX file system principles
• Experience with object storage in distributed systems
• Familiarity with RDMA networking and high-speed networking tech
• Experience near kernel-space and user-space I/O paths
• Strong systems mindset for debugging performance issues
• Experience building/optimizing production infrastructure platforms

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize FUSE-based infrastructure and storage components
• Develop and improve Linux file system integrations across kernel and user-space layers
• Work on distributed storage and object storage infrastructure systems
• Improve scalability, resiliency, and performance across storage platforms
• Optimize networking and data movement using RDMA principles
• Diagnose bottlenecks across file systems, networking, memory, and I/O stacks
• Develop infrastructure tooling and platform capabilities in C and C++
• Collaborate with systems, storage, and platform engineering teams on technical challenges
• Help shape next-generation infrastructure platforms for AI and HPC environments
