Palmer-Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK seeks a skilled funeral director/embalmer to serve as the primary contact for client families. You will plan, coordinate, and execute funeral and memorial services with sensitivity and professionalism.

The role requires a four-year degree and an active Funeral Director/Embalmer license, plus a valid driver’s license. You’ll work with clergy and staff to ensure flawless arrangements and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred.
• 5 years’ experience as a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer.
• Valid and applicable state Funeral Director and Embalmer License; reciprocal across states and in good standing.
• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Consult with client families or legal representative to design services meeting memorialization expectations.
• Ensure client families are presented with all merchandising and service options.
• Obtain information for obituaries, death certificates, burial permits, and insurance.
• Coordinate service arrangements with clergy, presiding persons, and other participants.
• Prepare and embalm the deceased in accordance with legal requirements and dignity.
