Job summary

Southern Cremations & Funerals in Marietta, GA seeks a Funeral Director/Embalmer reporting to the General Manager to deliver licensed funeral services and exceptional customer care. You will work with the sales team to present service and property options to families.

Responsibilities include performing licensed duties in funeral arrangements, embalming, and services; supervising Apprentices; managing Funeral Assistants and Administrative staff; and ensuring compliance with Georgia law and

Qualifications

• Current Georgia State Funeral Director License required.
• Current Georgia State Embalmer License required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to lift 60+ pounds and sit/bend frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed duties with funeral arrangements, embalming, and services as prescribed by Georgia Law.
• Supervise Apprentices and assist supervision under a preceptor.
• Manage Funeral Assistants, Administrative Assistants and Apprentices.
• Collaborate with sales team to present families with service and property options.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain professionalism with families and community.
