Job summary

Transamerica Asset Management in Denver seeks an experienced fund accounting professional to oversee service providers and lead reviews of monthly and quarterly financial reporting, NAV oversight, and regulatory filings. You will support audits, manage communications with auditors, and help maintain robust controls across fund administration and custody activities.

The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting/finance and about five years of related experience, with strong Excel/Word skills, SEC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or financial services related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• Generally five years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient Word and Excel skills; Excel macros via Visual Basic familiarity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of SEC financial accounting and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service provider and perform initial review of monthly and quarterly financial reporting and accounting.
• Review regulatory reporting to SEC, shareholders, and insurance regulators.
• Assist with annual audits and audit documentation with external auditors.
• Support accounting and financial reporting inquiries and daily NAV oversight.
• Develop controls for accounting operations and system applications.
• Oversee fund administration, fund accounting, and custody functions and review budgets and payments.
