Job summary

Belltower Fund Group, a division of AngelList, seeks a Fund Accounting Senior Manager to oversee accounting, valuation, and reporting for 27,000+ funds from the AngelList platform. You will resolve exceptions, address investor inquiries, and coordinate with external auditors.

Reporting to the Fund Accounting Director, you will lead a team of managers and senior accountants, develop processes and controls, and liaise with fund leads, investors, and auditors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in investment company accounting.
• Experience at a public accounting firm or fund administrator/investment advisor in fund accounting.
• Proficient in US GAAP, ASC 946 and ASC 820.
• Experience creating financial statements for investment companies/funds, including footnotes.
• Track record of improving financial reporting controls and SOC 1 process implementations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee key processes for accounting and reporting of investment companies.
• Develop and own process descriptions, matrices and flowcharts for controls.
• Onboard new clients from existing administrators and service providers.
• Interact with external auditors and ensure timely fund audits.
• Oversee events and data evaluation for portfolio companies and determine valuation actions.
• Coach and supervise a team of managers and/or senior accountants.
