Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Alternative Investments Associate/Accountant to provide accounting, administration and investor servicing for hedge funds, private equity funds, and closed-end registered products.

You will calculate NAVs, record trades, contributions and withdrawals, allocate profits, and prepare financial statements, audits and tax schedules. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, 5+ years in portfolio/partnership accounting, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a business-related field, or equivalent work experience
• Five or more years of related experience, preferably in portfolio/partnership accounting, finance or portfolio management
• PCS (Investran) and Cascade knowledge a plus
• Thorough knowledge in accounting, reporting, and analysis
• Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Act as primary fund accountant on multiple relationships, ensuring GAAP-compliant accounting functions
• Record trade information, income/expense activity and apply securities valuation in the portfolio system
• Enter and reconcile investor contributions and withdrawals in the partnership system
• Allocate fund-level profits to investors for statements distribution
• Review and coordinate fund expense analysis and processing
• Prepare fund financial statements, audit and tax schedules
