Job summary

Voy Ventures, a San Francisco-based venture investment platform, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its finance team. The role focuses on back-office support, working with the fund administrator to handle reporting, portfolio valuations, and investor relations, finance, and other ad-hoc duties.

You will review quarterly and annual LP reporting, assess fund performance metrics like IRR and carried interest, and lead technical accounting discussions with auditors and administrators.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of public accounting, fund admin, or in-house fund accounting with exposure to private equity or venture capital.

Responsibilities

• Review and help prepare quarterly and annual LP reporting. This includes entity-level trial balances, consolidated US GAAP fund financial statements, and investor capital statements.
• Review fund performance metrics, including gross and net IRR, management fees, and carried interest.
• Lead the resolution of complex accounting issues, working with auditors, administrators, and portfolio platforms.
• Review valuation models and long-term assumptions each quarter.
• Review capital call and distribution notices, monitor fund cash, support forecasting and compliance, and answer investor requests on financial items.
• Review funds flows and prepare transaction documentation with legal and tax, and find opportunities to automate and improve workflows.

The firm manages over $10B in combined AUM across multiple strategies and this candidate will be primarily responsible for back-office support which includes working with the firm's fund administrator to handle reporting of the funds, assisting with investment portfolio reporting, valuations and ad-hoc responsabilities in investor relations, finance etc
