Korn Ferry has partnered with a dynamic and rapidly expanding private equity firm based in New York City, dedicated to generating long-term value for our investors through strategic investments. As they continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated Senior Fund Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and report directly to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting and reporting for multiple private equity funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and fund agreements.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, capital account statements, and investor reporting.
• Assist with fund-level performance calculations, management fee calculations, and carried interest allocations.
• Work closely with third-party administrators, auditors, and tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support the Controller with cash flow management, capital calls, and distributions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SEC filings and tax reporting.
• Assist in process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• 3-8 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within private equity, venture capital, or hedge funds.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and investment fund structures.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with fund accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
