Job summary

Apex Group in Denver seeks a detail-oriented Fund Accounting Administrator to support a range of accounting and investor services for private equity and hedge funds. You will perform reconciliations, prepare statements, and ensure NAV accuracy, while maintaining confidential investor data and delivering timely client deliverables. Three days in the office?

The role emphasizes a four-days-in-office culture. A bachelor’s in accounting/finance and knowledge of fund administration are essential,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
  • Knowledge of Fund Administration (Private Equity and/or Hedge Fund accounting) a plus.
  • CPA/MBA/Master’s Degree is an advantage.
  • Ability to work towards and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Paxus, Geneva, Investran or eFront experience would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience with incentive fees, waterfall distributions, allocations, financial statements and/or subsequent closes is a plus.
  • Highly organized and motivated individual with an acute attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who volunteers for new opportunities and projects.
  • Ability to manage complex accounting structures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and coordinate admin duties including cash reconciliations and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare accounting trial balance work papers and financial statements.
  • Maintain confidential institutional and high-net worth investor data.
  • Client deliverables and investor services including client web portals.
  • Develop ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • To ensure timely and accurate NAV calculations.
  • Processing of investment, cash, accrual, and capital transactions for funds.
  • Direct payments for assigned funds.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and other requirements of the fund’s specifications.
  • Provide guidance, expertise and assistance to fund accountants when needed.
  • Communicate with clients to address any questions or concerns.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Review fund accountants’ funds and NAVs for accuracy and appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain a controlled operating environment in conjunction with company’s internal controls.

Job Description
The Role & Key Responsibilities:
