Job summary

Gohyred is seeking a QA Test Analyst to perform quality assurance across online products through the development lifecycle. You will review specifications, create manual test cases, execute test plans, and communicate results to project analysts, business owners, and external developers.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication, and teamwork. Experience with Agile/Scrum and defect tracking tools such as JIRA or TestRail is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in functional and integration testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail) and knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience using GenAI tools to improve QA efficiency.

Responsibilities

Job description

The QA Test Analyst is responsible for performing quality assurance testing for online products and platforms throughout the product development lifecycle. This position is responsible for reviewing and understanding online product specifications and enhancement requests; creating manual test cases; executing test plans; communicating test results to project analysts, business owners, and external developers; submitting, tracking, and prioritizing defects and bugs with project analysts and vendors; and ensuring defects are resolved on schedule.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Operates generally within team, with increasing awareness of influence of team's work within the department
  • Collaborates with other team members
  • Proficient in manual software testing techniques, including complex scenarios and has thorough understanding of QA processes.
  • Proficient in defect tracking, creation and execution of test cases, facilitating efficient issue resolution.
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail, good communication skills, collaborates within the team, helps junior team members and open to continuous learning
  • Demonstrated experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum. Ability to actively participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Understanding of the industry or domain in which the organization operates and multiple modules of the project. Understanding of domain\-specific terminology and processes.
  • Offers knowledge transfer as necessary to fellow team members
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiative by suggesting improvements in existing processes

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Experience: Experience in functional and integration testing or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of software testing methodologies, familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail), and knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Good problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with others.
  • Agile: Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • GenAI: Experience using GenAI tools to improve QA efficiency, test design, analysis, and productivity.
