Job summary

Staffbase is seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a newly formed team that builds custom solutions on top of our employee experience platform. You’ll own features end-to-end, from design through testing and release, and work closely with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable, reliable software.

The role involves building customer-facing UI in React/TypeScript, backend services, and integrations with Staffbase and third-party APIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a fullstack developer with ownership from concept to delivery
• Strong frontend skills in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript and backend in Kotlin/Java/Node.js
• Experience with REST APIs and external system integrations
• Proven mentoring ability and capability to bring structure to a team
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and validate outcomes
• Commitment to quality, clean code, testing, and continuous learning
• Fluent English and German in writing and speaking

Responsibilities

• Own the development of custom solutions end-to-end from design to release
• Collaborate with customers, consultants and internal teams to flesh out use cases
• Build UI in React/TypeScript and backend services; integrate with Staffbase APIs
• Mentor mid-level engineers and raise engineering standards
• Work in a cross-functional, agile setup with strong code review and CI/CD practices
• Continuously learn, share knowledge and push for quality in every iteration
