We are creating unique and highly scalable manufacturing focused product offerings that help our customers accelerate their manufacturing using cutting edge cloud based technologies and advanced automation solutions, and we are looking to grow our Engineering Team!

DMS is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our team as an integral part of our growing Engineering organization where technology is the backbone of the company. You will be reporting to our CTO and playing a key role in advancing our technology roadmap for our backbone ERP system and for our cloud hosted internal applications / integrations as we grow our proprietary, modern web-based, and highly automated technology stack. In this role you will work directly with our internal users and will have the opportunity to see real results from your work real quick. You will also build, grow, and learn alongside other Software and Devops Engineers on a team implementing modern software architectures solving manufacturing problems using the latest and best of class cloud based commerce tools and frameworks.

About You

You are a self-starting Senior Full Stack Engineer with a bias towards action, and you are a forward thinker who can break down technical problems and business requirements into components and tasks that you can quickly and iteratively develop with high quality. You are able to take ideas and concepts from end users and turn them into creative and efficient ideas and implement them in both back end systems and web based front end systems. You have a curious and collaborative mindset but are also effective at prioritizing urgent tasks against tasks that achieve business goals. Most of all, you are a builder and a problem solver at heart, and you seek to design and develop thoughtful, forward-thinking, and extensible solutions that solve real problems for our users.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with our internal end users to develop unique and impactful solutions within our ERP systems and integration that solves real business pain points and business growth opportunities.
• Develop against engineering tasks on projects while communicating status, obstacles, and participating in technical aspects of planning and estimating using lightweight agile practices
• Develop with modern engineering tools and cloud technologies to solve complex problems building manufacturing workflows into features within our ERP systems and integrations
• Follow established coding practices,standards, and deployment practices while driving efficiency improvements into our developer experience for writing software
• Provide break/fix production support using monitoring, tooling, and instrumentation implemented by DMS Engineering
• Participate in team member’s code reviews on other areas of the DMS platform
• Write well-tested code and unit tests that are maintainable and extensible for other engineers to enhance and support
• Participate in knowledge sharing opportunities and contribute to the growth of the collective knowledge of the Engineering team

Required Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience in a team based professional setting
• Minimum of 3 years experience writing customizations and automations for ERP solutions such as Odoo, Oracle Netsuite, and Microsoft Dynamics
• Minimum of 3 years experience using the AWS CLI to manage AWS technologies including EC2, S3, SQS, and Lambdas.
• Experience balancing production support and other development priorities in parallel
• Demonstrated experience with OOP and design patterns such as MVC
• Experience with agile/scrum software practices, branching and merging strategies, and submitting pull requests for peer review
• Experience building automated units using frameworks
• Strong communication skills, ability to interact directly with end users, and a can-do startup work ethic

Desired Experience

• Experience developing API endpoints and using ORMs in your code
• Experience developing against DBMS platforms such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Aurora
• Experience with configuring and deploying to IaaS Cloud Based hosting platforms like AWS, GCP, other DevOps relevant experience
• Experience working in the manufacturing industry
• Experience working in a startup environment
