Job summary

Flagler Health is building the clinical operating system for modern musculoskeletal care. We seek a software engineer to advance web applications and REST APIs using Vue.js and Node.js in a regulated healthcare setting.

You will contribute to real-time communications, API development, and cloud integrations (Twilio, OpenAI, Databricks, AWS/GCP). Join a team focused on secure, scalable innovation in patient care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building highly-available applications in a regulated environment.
• Proficient with Vue 3, TypeScript, Node, Mongoose and Express.
• Experience with monorepos (TurboRepo) and databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Responsibilities

• Web application development and frontend work with Vue.js 3.
• Backend development and HTTP API creation in JavaScript/TypeScript (Express).
• Integrations with 3rd-party services such as Twilio, OpenAI, Databricks, AWS/GCP; real-time features are a plus.

Flagler Health is building the clinical operating system for modern musculoskeletal care. We partner with MSK provider groups and specialty clinics to help them grow, operate more efficiently, and deliver better longitudinal care across patient acquisition, clinical workflows, and ongoing patient engagement. Our platform sits at the intersection of care delivery and clinic operations, helping providers capture more value across the full patient lifecycle. We've recently raised our Series B and are entering our next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Web Application development
• build robust frontend applications using Vue.js 3
• work on realtime web application for audio and SMS communications with users (patients)
• Backend development
• build HTTP API in JavaScript and TypeScript using express.js
• build and test custom internal TypeScript packages from scratch or migrate from JavaScript
• integrate with 3rd-party services like Twilio, OpenAI, Databricks API, and AWS/GCP
• Real-time streaming experience is a plus

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience with building highly-available applications in a regulated environment
• Has working knowledge of Vue 3, TypeScript, Node, Mongoose, Express
• Experience with with monorepo, especially turborepo.
• Experience with SQL databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB

Preferred Qualifications

• General healthcare tech / SaaS experience
• Familiarity with HL7 / FHIR / EHR.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
