Job summary

Shift5 is seeking a Senior Full Stack Web Engineer to design, build and maintain data‑driven web apps. You will create robust back‑end services and elegant front‑end interfaces to deliver complex visualisations and management dashboards for Shift5 systems.

You’ll collaborate with data scientists and other engineers to integrate models, maintain code quality, and ship features in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment. This role reports to the Director, Software Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering experience.
• 3+ years frontend development with modern frameworks (Vue/React/Angular/NextJS), React preferred.
• 3+ years backend development (Node.js/Java/Go/C#), Node.js/TS preferred.
• Strong JavaScript/HTML/CSS skills and scalable app delivery.
• Experience with end-to-end feature design and ownership.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret requirements and design specs; own features end-to-end.
• Build full-stack web apps with data visualisations and dashboards.
• Develop robust back-end systems to process and serve data.
• Create intuitive frontends using modern JS frameworks.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate models into apps.
• Write clean, documented, scalable code and maintainability.
• Collaborate across Shift5 teams to integrate components.
