Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software engineer in Phoenix to build and scale Clever Benefits’ platform, developing features across React web, React Native app, backend services, and AWS.

You’ll own full-stack features end to end, collaborating with a small team in a hybrid environment (onsite 2 days/week in North Scottsdale). 8+ years’ experience and TypeScript mastery are required.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong expertise with TypeScript.
Production experience with React, React Native, and Node.js.
Solid background in AWS services (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, RDS, etc.).
Experience with Prisma, PostgreSQL, and tRPC.
Comfortable working full stack and owning features from design → deployment.
Hybrid environment, onsite 2 days/week in North Scottsdale; reside within 30 miles.
Interest in using AI to accelerate development while maintaining quality.
Nice to Have: mobile app distribution workflows, monorepos, pnpm/bun workspaces, or similar setups; CDK/Terraform.

Requirements

8+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong expertise with TypeScript
Production experience with React, React Native, and Node.js

Comfortable working full stack and owning features from design → deployment

Interest in using AI to accelerate development (code generation, automation, etc.) while maintaining high-quality engineering
Experience with mobile app distribution workflows (TestFlight / Play Store) (Nice to Have)
Familiarity with monorepos, pnpm/bun workspaces, or similar setups (Nice to Have)
Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (CDK, Terraform, etc.) (Nice to Have)
