Job summary

Big Wave Digital is partnering with a fast-growing, well-funded data and AI platform to hire a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with a strong frontend focus. You will craft core product experiences using React and TypeScript, owning projects end to end and collaborating directly with customers.

You will work with embedded AI engineers on agent features, contribute to AI-driven workflows, and design Slack integrations while tackling multiplayer editing and real-time collaboration at scale.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of full-stack experience with frontend emphasis.
• Expert React and TypeScript for interactive UIs.
• Experience leading end-to-end projects.
• Startup experience at scaling company (Series B to pre-IPO).
• Degree in Computer Science.
• Experience with agent platforms or AI features is a bonus.

The platform is used by data teams at leading technology and AI companies to explore, analyse and share data. The team builds AI-powered tools including agent features, real-time collaboration and multiplayer editing in data-intensive applications.

What you'll be working on

• Building core product experiences across the full stack, with React and TypeScript at the heart of your work.
• Owning projects end to end, from idea through to launch, often working directly with customers.
• Partnering with embedded AI engineers and the research team on agent features and reliable AI responses.
• Designing integrations with Slack and other tools, and AI-powered developer workflows such as code typeahead.
• Solving complex UX challenges around multiplayer editing, real-time collaboration and performance at scale.

What we're looking for

• 4–8 years building products as a full‑stack engineer, with a strong frontend lean.
• Expert React and TypeScript, with real comfort building complex, interactive user experiences.
• A track record of leading projects end to end, including products built from scratch.
• Startup experience, ideally at a company that scaled during your tenure (Series B to pre‑IPO).
• Strong product judgement and enthusiasm for talking directly to customers.
• A degree in Computer Science.
• Experience with agent platforms or AI features (internal platforms count), or with block‑style or developer‑facing products for technical users, is a strong bonus.

The package

• US$199K–$295K base salary + competitive equity, depending on location and experience.
• Fully remote within the USA.

Applicants must be based in the USA. Visa transfers (e.g. "H-1B") may be considered.

The interview process includes a recruiter screen, hiring manager screen, technical coding interview, and a final round covering product, architecture, technical skills and leadership. Please note: although this role is fully remote, the interview process may include an in-person element.
