Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native applications using AWS serverless technologies.
• Build REST APIs and backend services using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.

• Integrate AWS services including S3, DynamoDB, RDS/PostgreSQL, and CloudWatch.

About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with strong AWS, Terraform, and backend development expertise for a 12-month contract opportunity with a major enterprise organization in Charlotte, NC.

This is not your typical full-stack development role. Approximately 80% of the work is focused on backend engineering, AWS serverless architecture, infrastructure automation, and API development, with the remaining 20% involving Angular frontend development.

You’ll work on a variety of enterprise solutions supporting corporate functions such as Supply Chain, HR, and Security.

Projects range from automating material ordering and streamlining business processes to exploring innovative technologies such as autonomous forklifts, drone-based security solutions, and AI integrations.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, building scalable cloud-native solutions, and taking ownership of their work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and develop cloud-native applications using AWS serverless technologies.
• Build REST APIs and backend services using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Integrate AWS services including S3, DynamoDB, RDS/PostgreSQL, and CloudWatch.
• Work with AWS networking and infrastructure components such as VPCs, Security Groups, CloudFront, and Load Balancers.

Frontend Development (20%)

• Develop and enhance applications using Angular 19 and TypeScript.
• Work with NgRx for frontend state management.
• Collaborate with UX, product, and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of backend development building APIs, microservices, or serverless applications.
• 3+ years of hands‑on AWS development experience.
• 3+ years of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• 2+ years of Angular and TypeScript development.
• 2+ years of Python development.
• Strong experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS/PostgreSQL, and CloudWatch.
• Experience developing REST APIs and working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Git-based source control.
• Must currently reside in the Charlotte, NC area.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating AI services into enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted or spec-driven development using tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
