Job summary

Simera is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Python Developer to join our engineering team and build scalable products across the backend and frontend. This high-ownership role involves working closely with the client, contributing to technical decisions, and delivering features from design through deployment.

Based in Brazil or New York, USA, you will design, build, and maintain web applications using Python with Django/Flask/FastAPI and modern frontend frameworks, and own APIs, performance, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python.
• Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience with React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and SQL.
• Experience with an ORM such as Django ORM or SQLAlchemy.
• Proficiency with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, testing, and system design.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using Python and modern frontend frameworks.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Own features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver new features.
• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Contribute to architecture, technical roadmaps, and engineering best practices.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and developer tooling.
