Job summary

Somnio is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build and evolve products for clients. You will work across the stack with Next.js and React on the frontend and Python on the backend, in direct contact with the client’s team.

You’ll design APIs, implement features end to end, collaborate on architecture, and participate in code reviews. This is a 100% remote contractor role with 10–40 hours per week, requiring strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a full stack or software engineer.
• Strong experience with React and Next.js (SSR, routing, performance).
• Strong experience with Python for backend work (FastAPI, Django or similar).
• Experience with relational databases (such as PostgreSQL) and REST APIs.
• Experience with Git, testing and CI/CD.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and explaining technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build features end to end, from the interface to the API and the database.
• Design and maintain APIs and backend services in Python.
• Build fast, accessible web apps with Next.js and React.
• Take part in technical decisions: architecture, code reviews and best practices.
• Work directly with the client to understand needs and propose solutions.
• Use AI tools to deliver faster and with better quality.
