Job summary

Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to support, maintain, and enhance mission-critical applications across child welfare, healthcare, and statewide programs. The role spans front-end to backend services, including SQL Server and SSRS reporting.

The candidate will troubleshoot production issues, modernize legacy systems, and collaborate with business stakeholders, QA, and IT staff to deliver secure, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of full stack .NET development using C#, ASP.NET/.NET Framework.
• Advanced SQL Server experience and SSRS reporting.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and Azure DevOps.
• Experience supporting enterprise production applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications using C# and ASP.NET/.NET technologies.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and middleware integrations.
• Create, modify, and troubleshoot SSRS reports.
• Design, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases and queries.
• Resolve complex production issues across multiple environments.
• Support front-end updates and modernization of legacy solutions.
• Manage source control, deployments, and CI/CD with Azure DevOps.
• Ensure accessibility and compliance standards are met.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, QA, and technical staff.
