Job summary

Premera seeks a Software Development Engineer III to analyze, design, code, test, maintain, debug, and modify software for local, networked, web, mobile or cloud-based technologies in an agile team. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in full‑stack development, middleware/API development, cloud-native architectures, and modern AI-assisted software engineering practices.

This hybrid role is located on our campus in Mountlake Terrace, Washington.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience and knowledge of SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Consult with business partners and IT leaders to identify problems and propose scalable solutions.
• Analyze system requirements and design cross-platform solutions.
• Develop, test, and maintain code across local, web, and cloud environments.
• Apply CI/CD and DevOps practices throughout the SDLC.
• Provide technical guidance to staff and document changes.
