Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Backend experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
• Frontend experience with Typescript and JavaScript.
• Experience building microservices with Spring Cloud.
• Experience in AWS infrastructure via IaC, Lambda, S3, Kafka.
• Strong reactive programming skills for high-perf systems.
• Experience leading use of approved AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure delivery.
• Follow 12-factor app principles for cloud-native development
• Design and run performance/load tests with JMeter or Blazemeter
• CI/CD tooling including Spinnaker, Dynatrace, Splunk; knowledge of databases (Cassandra, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, ElastiCache)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and agentic workflows using TypeScript and Java with Spring Boot.
• Implement microservices with Spring Cloud for service discovery and resilience.
• Containerize and deploy apps on AWS using ECS, EKS, Lambda or EC2.
• Implement AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Apply reactive programming to high-performance systems.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Promote secure coding, peer reviews, automated testing, and reusable patterns.
• Leverage SDLC tools and AI-assisted automation to improve value.
