Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team for core commerce experiences. You will manage and mentor engineers across multiple teams expanding protocol capabilities and launching agentic shopping features across Google surfaces.

You will provide leadership, drive technical direction, and collaborate with cross-functional partners across the consumer organization to deliver seamless user experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of full-stack development across back-end and front-end tech.
• 3 years in technical leadership roles.
• 2 years in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale user experiences at Google scale.
• Lead development across the entire web stack (frontend, backend, quality).
• Drive technical directions across multiple teams and partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring shopping features to life.
• Define and establish quality and success benchmarks with evaluation methodologies.
